Could LESS be MORE?

While walking by a coffee shop recently, I read the words "Less Hate". I wondered to myself why couldn't it be rephrased by a "More Love". "Less Hate"..as right as it may sound is still: negative; as the word "Less" seems to be a limitation to an expression rather than the pure display of it. If you said "More Love"..it opens up a world of freedom for me.

It is my observation that the media has made a "Hero" out of all the negativity around us. Being the bad guy quickly gets you attention because being the good guy normally takes a lot of time, patience and commitment. I often wonder: if we didn't know about so many "Hate crimes", how would we be able to carry them out? What if we knew more about the "Acts of Kindness, Love and generosity"?

Amidst the refugee crisis in Syria, Germany opened it's arms to more than a million refugees, naturally, it wasn't all met with pleasant greeting cards and sweet smelling garlands but they ran ads on TV showing how those refugees might or could be helping the system. Can we have a little more of those ads around the world?

Why do we see any kind of change or an addition in a system as a threat? Why do we presume a "more" as a potential danger? It is the "more" of a color, culture, idea and innovation that makes the world as vibrant and beautiful as it could be right?

How about if we knew how to survive with less and were to offer more to one another in the human society? Isn't that the difference between "us" evolved species?

The divide, for me, today is not between a "rich" and a "poor"..it is literally between a "more" and "less" lot. The people who want to give more, can live off less and take less from a system and offer more. A system, that today, only seems to fuel the divide by an unnecessary "Greed" to promote a "Kind" and not "To be". I feel there is only so much I could "use" today but there is so much more I could learn, see and explore. The "more" I see, travel, interact, the more I acquire in terms of my "Being" and the less I have a need to want.

May be the "More" is also a luxury. The luxury "To Be". The luxury to live and be and "fit in" anywhere. The luxury of being any gender, class, caste, color or race and being accepted. The luxury to do more and to be able to talk about it lesser.

I really hope that in the times to come the simple question of the "Could less be more?" be answered by itself.

Social entrepreneurship

I don't really know how they came to classify this term. I can only find this logical explanation for the thinkers that they wanted to do something good for the society and let it be profitable enough to be called that.
In my times, living in Germany, working as a trainer, it means to help people fill forms and find a way to integrate into society while getting money from it from BAMF or a bigger organisation like Bosch or Daimler which still have a heart.
I'm not sure if one needs a college degree to help the society, however one does need a certain kind of exposure to run a business.
When business and goodwill do find an integration, that is the fulfillment or progress in the society that we live in today. In my head, it is achievable. The real question is, is the world ready to show that much compassion and passion.
Are you willing as an individual to give it your all regardless of the monetary comforts or the accolades. Are we ready as a business to embrace our human side? That is the question?
If every individual were to do that, wouldn't there be less conflict? Wouldn't there be more harmony? Are we willing for that? Yes, that is the answer to Forbes philanthropic societies and social entrepreneurship.
Can mankind ever exist in harmonic relations?

Move with the mind

The mind is such a powerful tool. I wonder how many of us use it the right way. The mind can pretty much control the soul and the physical existence of us all.

Today as I went on one of the toughest and my first hike, I realised the power of the mind. There were times where my body felt so numb from the cold snow around, my feet froze and water entered my shoes (being a first time hiker, I made the mistake of going in my sport shoes and what an adventure that turned out to be!). I was at heights of 800 meters and on the edge of the slopes with the worst hiking attire ever but I think after a certain point, my mind calmed down, it got down my breathing to the basic minimums and I could just control the situation with some help of course. I had to tell myself at times that I have to make it and that I'm going back home tonight no matter what happens. I do an average brave although I'm very popular for being wild. But today was different, it made me think of how to explore this power that is a part of our existence.

I believe in the theory of attraction which has a lot to do with the mind attracting what the soul or the physical existence wants or needs, today I saw a new side of the mind: The survival and not quitting bit. I could have taken a cable car, turned around but just not to quit and keep going on. It definitely helps to have people around when you are going through it all too, people to tell you not to quit, keep going on at your own pace, call the people you love just in case you don't make it, and in the end make it. After making it all, the view, the pleasure, the feeling of being invincible only if for those moments, makes the journey all so worth it!

I've learnt something today, I'm going to turn to my mind more often from now on. It's my friend even when instincts fail.

Scar and chance

It's a good thing not everyone has scars. Scars are a reminder of the long road you've travelled, they are somewhat like tattoos just not decided by you but the road you chose. They could be an adventure that backfired or just the plain stupidity of a plan. In my case it has been about going on a motorbike, which I couldn’t ride, or finding myself in intensive relationships, which I couldn't handle! Still worth it!

And then there are the scars that no one can really see; they are generally caused by the disappointment that others left you with. Mahavir preached 'Accept, don't expect', what he forgot to mention is that it is a part of being human to expect every now and then, when those expectations hit the lowest ground, it leaves a scar. Some deep, some shallow and some that leave no mark at all.

I often find myself wandering and tripping on my scars. The feeling of being hurt is often conquered by the feeling of achievement and that I was strong enough to withstand the change in tide.

It must be a damn boring life, not have taken chances or bear those scars, and yet I think if they could have been avoided? The conflicting thought is knowing that life is an ongoing mad adventure that keeps getting better and wilder and I can just hope it never stops.

Taking the chance, flying on your own turf is more exciting than living the life of a stone or a tree. If man was meant to be rooted on one ground and live there happily ever after, then man would be a tree or a stone at least stones can be thrown around ;)

As I prepare to take off for a trade fair, I think about how it was a chance, a right question and the right will to make business out of a pleasure trip!

Take the chance, take it today, the pay-offs are better than the road left behind. If you scar, enjoy it and let it remind you of how strong you really are!

Waiting on the internet!

After waiting on Ikea to get my furniture and then waiting for O2 to provide me with an internet connection, I can write a whole book on waiting. I'm just glad to be back in the world of surfers and what seems to become the real world: The virtual reality.

Have you noticed sitting in the train that no one really talks to each other anymore except the really really old people out there? Everyone is so hooked to their smart phones, it almost makes you feel like an outcast!I felt pretty odd having a good laugh with a friend on the train, everyone looked at us as though we were alien apes from another planet.  I can also tell you about a recent trip I had to a small village, where I found myself having such a good time, no there was no internet just data packets (:P)! Fine give me that, I'm not that old! I walked with my 60's companion in to the woods, got lost, had no network and guess what, we could still find our way out, apparently she could track the tractor tracks! I was pretty amazed. Also it seems, she didn't really need the "Accuweather" App because she almost always knew when it was going to rain by smelling something in the air, which thankfully our Apps are not equipped with! I could also enjoy the red wine, the food, the music and of course her company minus my cell going brr...brr..

I wonder if we all are just hooked on to our cell phones to look busy? I know we smokers smoke to look busy and of course killing the boredom of waiting and waiting... but I guess we're all so lonely that we almost need our gizmos like cocaine for an addict. The lonelier you are, the more you see online vomits. Well whatever it is, it is definitely a catching phenomenon. I'm not sure which side I'm on?Hmm..

I'm just so glad to finally have my internet connection and just connect my ipod, get new music, check out on books, movie, events and book my tickets and get out of here every once in a while! Amen to the internet!

whiskey eyes

It's back to the writing board after a breath-taking break in Scotland. It's hard to imagine a place so untouched by human hand. Our first day in Scotland was all about exploring the place and taking in its beauty....so the first day was pretty touristy after a 6 hour drive from london to Scotland. The music in the car was so peppy, it was hard to keep down our spirits...Rihanna played her famous "We found love" about 8 times...followed by David guetta..who helped us keep up the speed...

One of the first places, we saw was the jedenburgh castle welcoming us. The next day we took off to the Edinburgh castle, which was built in the year.....although u know I'm not really the castle types, so we saved up the money for the whiskey tour. As it turns out, there are 4 types of whiskies...highland...lowland...speyside and is lay....im apparently the highland types ;) which is vanilla...its funny how you can wear the smell that you like to drink..kinda weird...the whiskey tour also includes drinking and trying 4 types of whiskey including the whiskey type that you are...after a drunk tour and whiskey eyes..we explored the city with whiskey eyes...which included the pub we made local..the whitemann hart pub, the oldest pub in scotland since 1517....

the next day via the forth bridge....an architectural wonder...was the st.andrews..the oldest golf course and the place of romance..oh yeah..kate middleton and prince william met here...the place has such a sweet and serene feel to it..the harbor in the corner...the greenery...the lil village...perfect and then heading off to a lil coffee shop for a carrot cake and cappuccino...one can see its easy to fall in love here..not just with a person but the place itself...

the next day was the drive to the national park...via glasgow....we stopped by the loch lomond...the view is so breath-taking...with a tea-shop facing the oldest hydraulic power plant...the lake in the middle and surrounded by the little hills....the rain..washing away the ground...the sun coming out of the grey clouds..it makes all songs till date so believable...the picture perfect....the drive..the music..the company...i had a thought too at that moment.."long journeys don't require conversations just good company..."

And on that note...we ended our drive with all the beautiful....

Yes..What if God was one of us?

Listening to Alanis Morisette asking this questions again and again, I had to answer her. I do think that there is a God that exists in all of us. Whether we address it or not, he’s just in us. He is most often seen when we perform acts of kindness and create any kind of art, music, or literature and just make this life worth living for ourselves or for someone else. I think he comes with a smile from one face to the other and sometimes as a hug too.

Every once in a while when I look up in to the skies with those bright stars shining their light in cloudless nights, it seems to suffice as a proof that beyond this life of ours exists this unknown beautiful and I could call it God (it could also just be science and I love science!Science is a form of God in my little world too!). And I think each of us has the ability to reach something deep and unknown in ourselves each day. I think it's that positive liberating feeling most days that's a reminder of the unknown magic. At times it could also be the darkness. I don’t think that darkness has to always last too long. It  mostly depends on what we do with our dark sides, whether we acknowledge our weaknesses and let them destroy us or we turn it in to a challenge and create a miracle out of it. I find my darkest side to be my loneliness and my not being able to accomplish all the colors and dreams that fill my brain each morning. But accepting my fears and that dark side has given me a chance to explore a new world, I let my colors come alive each day on paper and no I don’t feel that lonely anymore or let that feeling of unaccomplishment take over me.  I feel stronger each day and what I find is the God in people who help me believe in myself. The angels that guard me and let me explore my horizons are my Gods.

So, yes Alanis Moriseette , God is one of us. He is in the pure, beautiful and above all the kind and forgiving. As Oprah says he’s a live stream through your music and amen to your music for girls around the world who have had your jagged little pill. Amen to you.

Meins

He said 'Meins' and till the time it remained to 'Meins', her world remained perfect. It meant he would take care of her and the world was her little wonder to play in. What I didn't get is the word meant by playing with someone else's rules and there is that problem I face with rules. Artists don't live by rules infact if it all, they make new ones by which the society abides, adheres and follows. Just by the way for those who don't know artists in my definition are creators and visionaries not just painters and musicians. You need the art to rise.

In a world of mergers and acquisitions, everyone should watch out for what really is theirs and what really never will be. So a Facebook bought a Whatsapp, so is Whatsapp theirs...in a fools fantasy sure. Snapchat turned down the offer but is still making it work right. Guess why? It doesn't quite follow the 'Meins' philosophy. What I find amazing is that ownership of a company, individual and their potentials is a joke on paper and real life. In real life, the real mergers should be collaborative, symbiotic relationships which don't just work on a give and take but on realising real potentials and making a kill for the creative and passionate space. In the business world, it means one word: innovation. What no one could ever think off or believe in and you come create dreams for others to follow. When one tries to curb a spirit and ambition, one will only be met with the most ultimate disappointment in life.

Ownership has a new meaning in the world we live in today. You could only own, merge and combine what has the potential. Say you take someone else's debts and try to balance it with your own credits: Bad investment.

I guess I made many and now it's time to learn the new from the scratch. 'Meins' exist..it exists without limitations, compromises and control otherwise you're doing it wrong. Or so says my experience. Go defend.

Dominique

They told me fountainheads can't and don't exist anymore. In this fast world of speed and momentum, we as people are constantly evolving, setting up goals, achieving them and moving on to the next best goal. And then on a constant repeat mode of excellence. I wonder if everyone out there moves as fast as I think I do?

Why do I find myself more and more away from crowds and closer to my inner self. Why do I find places, people and small talk rubbish unless it brings something in to my beautiful and peaceful world? Why do I push the underdogs, the bores, the depressed and the cruel away? Have I become the cruel and heartless?

It may have started by being turned away too much and being roughened up too often. My situations have made me who I am today and I follow a discipline I find many people lacking today. Inspite of my order in life, I've come to a point where my heart longs so much more and I feel I can't settle with just anything that comes my way. First I'm afraid I'll hurt the weak in the longer run and second may be I'm still not that heartless.

The fountainhead propagated a theory which fit my vision and imagination of the future. Cold, clean and beautiful structures. I imagined it more colourful honestly but still done to perfection. I did imagine in that bright and cold world, a Howard Roark and a Dominique who never compromised on their ambitions and visions. Yet they could find each other. The book didn't talk about an ending but it did say they were on the way to build up their empires. I'm on that search of finding that empire and my Howard Roark.

Why am I writing and publishing this today..because I want you out there to remind me if I forget all this in my red wine frenzy and dare to slip again. I have to be strong and I need friends to hold me together and protect me in this time from falling from grace. Help me in my search to find myself again and never lose it again.

Sommerfest in Stuttgart and the samosa trail

Stuttgart will never cease to surprise me..the same city which lay barren at nights a few months back..is now so crowded..it looks like a midnight sinful carnival. The star-lit streets, the smell of different perfumes mixed with food and beer..wahhhh..so intoxicating.
On Friday as we decided to take a look at our favorite thirst quenching joints, we were met with a surprisingly full city..the usual guitar player playing 'everything's going to be alright'..the parakeet man, the violinist..the street dancers and street artists...so the first thing we did was to take a frozen cappuccino and sit on the stairs to get an overview of what's happening where..soon enough..you could hear the chant of what's on where. The Sommerfest, the screens, oddly dressed foreigners in an Indian attire..so the Indian film festival and the never ending music on the streets. As we paved our way to Palast, we were greeted by the BIG plastic elephant, a sign of the Indian film festival and as luck would have it, my friend just had to have an Indian samosa. It was such a home away from home feeling, drinking a beer at Palast and enjoying a samosa..OMG..absolutely Geile!(The Germans would say that now!)..From the way from Palast to the schlossplatz, we just couldn't ignore the lights from the old library building anymore. We had to stop by there, where the coolest of the coolest sit. It's such a different crowd there too, everyone sitting on the steps under the colorful lights enjoying the same view, enjoying the same music, some humming, some drumming, some silence, some words and the beer. Even under those colorful lights, we could enjoy the starlight. It's such a peaceful and beautiful feeling. Definitely a must try for the romantic! Luckily the S-bahns that day gave us a chance to romance more since they were all cancelled in to the wee-hours..wow..

One would think that the adventure would end on a Friday night but it only got better and bigger on a Saturday night..the latin american bands played along their tunes, the crowds got louder and decided to dance on the Marktplatz! The food variety got bigger and bigger..from Columbia, Cuba, Romania, Ecuador, India, China..and you could name it..it would almost be there..As usual my friend had the usual Samosa craving but guess what they ran out of it..which started with the next adventure..to look for the Samosa in Stuttgart!..A trip through the schlossplatz, where people decided to jump in to the fountains, the Hans im Glück thronging with people and back to the Palast! It's like all roads lead you to the pee-house, yes that's what Palast was or so I have heard...and guess what we found there..SAMOSA!..
It's always so interesting to find what all they could pack in to a small city like Stuttgart. I love the spirit of the city where you could be what you want to be and do what you would want to do (culturally ,creatively and constructively)..you could sing, dance, do a lil jig and no one would really mind :) The full-moon helped with the looniness of course!

Till next weekend..

Cheers..

The crazy times of silence and hackers

In all these times of web blasts, twitters, face book likes and other social media platforms, what catches my attention most is the silence of firms and certain forums.

Recently I attended the less publicized events like a "Silent Friday" which took place on a Thursday and was less than silent. It was one of these concerts held by the owners of one of my favorite coffee houses in Stuttgart called the Galao. The concert was also on a less than known cafe, Cafe Merlin. The concept was simple, it was targeted at office goers, who didn't want to get sloshed on a week night, the place was a bar less known, and the performers were less airy, a group of young musicians caught in a city less public too. Sweet and simple. There were cushions on the floor as a seating arrangement. No food and a pint of beer or a glass of wine were the only little options you had. The night turned in to an overwhelming evening as the music flowed through the small room and the whispering crowds drowned in to the strong music of the struggling artists in Stuttgart.

Another such event I found worth mentioning was the work of the nerds! Yes, I love the nerds as I consider myself as one. It was the work of our hacker community in Stuttgart at a place called "Shack's space". Another less than known event. The nerds gathered in a dingy place painted by street artists, surrounded by computers to hear another newbie in town. The music wasn't of my taste but the evening was so awesome as the hacker's took us in to their labs and showed their abrupt experiments. A new definition to the “cool” factor in Stuttgart.

In a city where the word "culture" and "bio-" never seems to go un-noticed, the little less publicized events seem to take the cake-away. So you have the art galleries, the museum nights, the high-flying concerts, the animation film festivals and then you have these small events that just make your evening worth grinning about. You feel a little cooler!!

This city will never end to surprise me and the opportunities it offers if you have the right spirit ;)  .Can't wait to see what 'less-publicized' event I end up in tonight!

Cheers to a wonderful Friday evening!

Life with a 'delete' button

Do you ever wake up in the morning with this feeling of deleting parts of your life or some of the people that you knew in some parts of your life. The feeling of deletion is so negative and yet so relieving. I woke up with this feeling today morning and struggled with this thought over my morning coffee. I wondered why I often felt the urge to delete and shun people from my life.

My life as I know it and some people close to me know it is very transitional. I look different each year, I dress differently and walk around with different people. Since my life is so transitional, it's but natural for people in my life to fade away from time to time. What is not natural is that I choose to cut out some people from my life. I am a very people's person and so what causes me to take such nasty steps.

By the time I had my second cup of coffee, things started to become clearer. There are some people, no wait a lot of people in my life, who have made me feel very very alone. They left me alone to deal with my own emotions. They have abandoned me in my times of crisis. They have forgotten that I am human. They have burdened me with their miseries and I've carried their miseries in my heart and on my shoulders. I've tried my best to understand, analyze and find a solution to their miseries only to be complimented by them going back to their miseries. I've never had too many expectations from people except that they take care of themselves and sometimes just sometimes hear me out.I am very thankful to these people because they didn't hear me out. They didn't take the time to know me or my life and they stayed in their miserable lives when my world shattered, broke and then resurrected. They were too busy and now they don't belong in my life! I hate desertion but it seems to be like a flu these days and I've learnt it only too well. And so I press the 'delete' button.

I also have another theory to counter the 'delete theory'. When one dull window in my life shuts down, I paint a 100 doors to make it more comfortable for others to find me. I've been taught by a lot of my 'so-called' friends to be alone and guess what, I'm leaving them all alone now :)

Cheers to the new light I'll bring in to my life today by hitting the delete button.

The bliss of the sunny winter mornings

There are very few days in Stuttgart in the winters, when you wake up to a beautiful sunny morning like today. The first rays of sunshine pouring down on the snow-capped roof tops, melting the snow in to a light falling stream of diamonds. The colors of the drops reflecting and refracting in to various shades of the rainbow.

One tends to drift in thoughts about the week ahead and the week gone by. I think about all the things I still have to do in my little time and my little life. May be write a book, put up an exhibition, participate in a marathon, the opportunities in life today seem countless.

I think about all the people, who have stood by me in a time of rough weather and now that the rough weather is almost through, what could I possibly give back to them, as a sign of my gratitude. I think about the materialism in the world, which has its short-lived joy and then I think about a long-term and life long reward. Could I return the joy in the world by imparting, what I have learnt all along my life, positivism. Could I teach them the skills that I acquired through my teachers? Should I continue to give back in the way that I find the easiest and most selfless : Teaching? I will still have to figure out which way can I combine what I have learnt and still have to learn to give back to life, the same way it gives to me each day and each morning.

While I figure out, what to do next in my life, I can enjoy for these little moments like today, the sunlight that falls on my face and thank life for giving me the little rays of hope. May the weeks ahead guide me on a path of self discovery and recovery. May my friends, family and loved ones receive every little joy that I receive in this life and in the glimmers of a sunny winter morning...Everything will be alright..

cheers..

The white wonder

It's a day like this in Stuttgart that makes you believe in the goodlife. The snow flakes covering the streets, each branch, smiling at you with its new found accessory, a little flake here, a little flake there. The rooftops beaming at you with their new found white beauty that they glow in under the white skies.

It's a day defined in white perfection. A day where friends should sit around a wooden table in Zimt und Zucker and drink a cup of warm hot chocolate, sharing the weeks laughter and joy. A day, where silence makes sounds at the charisma of  nature. As nature seduces me in to its purity and innocence, every hardship of the weeks seems to ease out of my veins bringing back fresh white light. Nothing could go wrong now in the white blanket of nature. Every little whisper from the trees ruffling with the snow flakes smothering them, seem to be calling out to me today to go out and sin in nature.

As I watch the white wonder by my window today, I can only wish happiness, love and joy to each one near and dear. This is definitely a page in the good life I sin in!

Cheers :-)

Damini : Humanity lost in a population of billions

As I listened to the open, wild public outcry in our country about the violent rape case, it got me thinking, whether things would ever change for us or our women. It made me think of all the women that I so love and admire in my country.

One tends to only talk about the problems on the surface when they talk about aggressive behavior. The root cause of any kind of aggression, in any society stems from a kind of suppression. Aggression is the reaction to a suppression. In a metropolitan like Delhi, where there are high rise buildings, Audis, BMWs and Benz rolling on the street, there are also slums, where the water from the sewage overflows. The flip side to our big cars are the Rickshaw pullers on the streets. In a city, where there is so much disparity, how do we expect the downtrodden NOT to look our way with disgust. Why should someone not have the same standard of living as the other?

A lot of people talk about education and confuse it with a standard of living. Most of the workers/laborers in our country are also educated. A person with a bachelors degree in our country could either be holding a broom or be sitting in a clerical position or be in charge of a big-run family business, depending on the family, he or she is born in. Now, it is funny that someone should have a better standard of living, just because they are born to a certain income class of parents. What does the country, it's education system or its universities, do for such people? In my right frame of mind : Nothing.

We need an education system, which looks outside the books. That's been one of the biggest problems for years in our country, hasn't it? People seem to only follow books..religious books, science books, political books, psychological books...and more books. The needs of life, if you ask me, are quite simple: Clean food, water and a roof on the head. Unfortunately books alone cannot tell us how to sustain ourselves. Practical knowledge, experience and vocational training help. In a country supporting a population of a billion, it isn't possible for each one of us to be a lawyer/engineer or a doctor. If and only if there was a dignity of labour in our country and a little supervision of the distribution of wealth, may be a certain class of people could at least lead a life less miserable. This less miserable class if satisfied has a potential not to display the acts of aggression that we commonly ignore.

If some of us were to adopt a village, create facilities like water, food and shelter. If we could just impart the basic human dignity and equality amongst each other, which is humanity, I wonder if it would cease all the talks in the media and the bullshit that we are subject to?

I also question these huge demonstrations and discussions which are on right now. Is it that people really care, because if they do, then do we need masses to support an issue or just an individual with a gun to protect the honor of a woman? Or is it that we as a country have nothing better to do than to be on television and have our 5 minutes of worthless fame?

Women and men in our country need to protect their own honor and have their own vision. We need to build this society on a stronger foundation than just education, where money, status and fame needs to take a back seat for a while. We need to provide humanity in our society. How we can spread this humanity in a cancerously disillusioned society is the question?

Longer and Narrowing walkways

I always thought that I will remain untouched by time and age. I've tried to beat both at all given times, mostly physically and emotionally but the one thing good that time and age have done to me is give me an immense amount of patience and hope.

I met some of my closest friends in the past few days. People who have known me for over 6-7 years or more. When it comes to friendships, I have always been someone, who has jumped up to meet people but now I take a different approach. I saw myself walking down longer roads to connect with people rather than taking short-cuts. It could be taking the metro rather than jumping in to the car, it could be walking down the campus through longer meandering ways rather than taking the shorter-routes out and I wondered all this while why?

I still love all my friends just the same way but why build up the anticipation? (And by building up the anticipation, it doesn't mean making people wait, it just means starting out earlier than before) I think it has to do with me trying to relish each moment I spend with them and before even spending time with them, already thinking about how we build up all these relations. I have a handful of people that I really enjoy meeting in Delhi and these people are all so different and yet so connected to me. So whether it's a friendship based out of sports, out of good old engineering times or my smoke-breaks in the corners of buildings, I enjoy them all and I like to think of what went in to the making of these relationships.

I have been so impulsive in making and breaking relationships that today I find it important to understand what goes on behind in these makings and breaking of bonds. It's almost like being behind the camera and shooting your own life. The only thing I do differently is that I'm trying to shoot it in slow motion. And believe me it is more fun.

In a city like Delhi where life has lesser value than time and money (going by the size and speed of the cars), I like to move around differently, a little slower and a little more alert. I like to enjoy the little greenery and narrowing pathways that still exist. I also try to enjoy the conversations which are a little far away from materialism that consumes this city.

Lucky for me, I still have a few people I can come back to here and a mouthful of sky under which we can enjoy our time in the buzzing city.

The fallen men

Disney movies have retarded the mind of little girls and impressionable minds for the longest time now. I have decided to unveil the curtains on real life now.

In real life the big hearted princess kisses the ugly frog only to turn the frog in to an uglier toad and she then transforms in to a prince. This princess turned prince then carries the burden of the ugly toad her/his entire life.

My slight bitterness against fairy tales comes from a very real experience. I was a very successful woman with a career and a car. I had a lot for one woman to handle. I just decided to kiss the frog. Very soon I lost everything that made me the princess I was. As I kept losing my dreams, I kissed another frog. This time I even lost everything that even made me meet my human needs. As the frogs in my life trampled around my heart and soul, I decided to live.

I've often been told I'm overly ambitious. I want to make one thing very clear. As a princess turned prince now, I do have basic needs
and my standards to maintain. So as I looked around many stores today not for clothes but for jobs with my friend today, I thought to myself about all the lame Heroes people talk about and about the fact that these are mostly men. To me all of them have fallen.

In the times to come, I forsee a new generation of weaker men and their weaker thinking power. They will just become pawns to women's powerful mind games and before they know it all the princesses would be playing their knights in shining armour as the new prince.

Disney: I have a few new ideas based on reality to share.

While I walk the fields of Gold..

While the rest of the world sleeps right now..my mind tends to drift in fields of Gold..

While my life is far from perfect at the moment..there are some spirits around me which give me strength, love and inspiration like never before. I feel like I'm getting closer to my goals than ever.

I see the clouds drifting away from the light of the stars that now seem to burn the sky so bright, some how some of them are making the moon shy away in all its brightness.

They say "Be so good that the world can no longer ignore you"..and somehow may be it was an investment in some human emotions that is pulling me through my darkest times right now.

We are all born with families but then we tend to come here, walk these paths with some companions and make connections born out of the heart and soul. I'm just one of those few lucky souls to find just the right companions at the right time. My companions share a light that ignites my spirit in the grueling grey skies and November rains. They help me pave my path and we all share this journey in the fields of Gold.

I wish my life would make as much sense as my imagination does right now. I wish so bad that I could realize all these images in my head in to reality..may be someday soon I will..but tonight I'll just live in them because I've already put in a day's work..

I hope that everyone who is close to me at this time and has shown faith in my dreams and my spirits is able to see the light of the day, when I'm able to realize it all and we can all walk in the fields of gold together.

To the "few" rockstars in my life.."our" band will make it and amen to that.

The Oneness in the divide..

Sometimes the simplest of joys bring people closer than words or experiences ever would. Today as I sat with my guitar teacher and we strummed along the chords of "Unchained melody"..we started to hum and sing along. It was so sweet, the way he could take the low chords and when he had trouble with the high notes, I pitched in..before we knew..we had jammed the entire song and strung it along to make a melody..it must have sounded nice because his little dog came and snuggled up close beside us and looked at us for more..

Music has no language except the pain or joy of the soul..

Later today..I decided to push myself to the limits of my physical fitness. I worked with the same trainer for straight 2.5 hours. As my trainer took on trainings one after the other, she kept challenging me to go further with weights and reps. Somehow..with the right "breathing" techniques and momentum, I was able to pass through the routines without breaking too much of a sweat. The result..the formation of a bond based on respect..again no words...

Physical training requires no language or exchange of words..just the sounds of the clink of the weights and a sweet exertion..which only fitness freaks can understand..

Any form of art and I consider physical training a part of an art form because it requires the same passion and dedication to work-out day after day..unites us in such indefinite ways.

People who pursue these forms will always remain united and unchallenged from the rest of the world..and that in itself is the biggest irony of oneness in a divide..think about it..

Marry me to the sky..

Charlyn Marie Marshal  re-itrates my feelings at the moment "Marry me..marry me to the sky.."

The first snowfall in Stuttgart...the smell of coffee and the warmth of my apartment in my blankets..life doesn't get better than this on a Saturday morning. The snow seems so innocent and pure as it sets itself on the brown roof-tops of houses. There is a certain calmness and wonder in the atmosphere. Each snow-flake seems to create it's on swooshing magic..

What is it about the snow that makes the whole world around you look like a fairytale..? Each curtain in every house is drawn so wide-open and I can see almost all the people in their windows smiling around and looking at the snow fall with that cup of coffee, cocoa or tea. Are they thinking about creating their little fairytale too? Is everyone around living in this moment of wonder too, with their hearts beating in the rhythm of the snow-flakes falling on the ground?

I wish I could freeze this moment just for a bit and inhale it's beauty through and through..

After last night's cold rain..this is all I needed..a little magic..a belief..a hope..the freshness of the new season..and if I could..I would marry the sky right now..

And this is how I feel right now..it's already been written down by Ms. Marshal :

"Bury me, marry me to the sky
Marry, marry me to the sky
Feels like time is on my time
Bury me upside down
Cherokee, kissing me
When I’m, I’m going down
Feels like time is on my time "
